(NYSE: AVT), has announced that Clare Connor has won Credit Controller of the Year at the Chartered Institute of Credit Management (CICM) British Credit Awards 2015.
Clare was nominated by her peers for her outstanding commitment to the role of credit controller at Avnet Technology Solutions, UK, her team contribution and the results achieved. The award was presented at the recent CICM awards ceremony held at The Brewery in London.
Award winners were selected by an independent judging panel following a review of entries that provided evidence of the nominee’s outstanding personal efforts and team contribution to credit management. The panel included industry representatives from the Institute of Export, HSBC, Twentieth Century Fox International Corporation, Amey plc and Lovetts plc.
Connor’s credit control experience spans 17 years, primarily within IT and IT distribution. During her time at Avnet, Clare has played an important role in supporting the integration of acquisitions. She has been integral to the adoption of new processes while developing excellent customer relationships and often exceeding targets and expectations.
