CIPD HR Software Show, 15-16h June 2016, Olympia, London, Stand H320

Carval Computing will be showing the latest enhancements to its HR Unity solution at this year’s CIPD HR Software Show. The new developments in HR Unity v5.8 include time-saving features that benefit both the HR team and business managers, such as multi-tier authorisations within the Self-Service module, which give greater control of the approval chain. The Rostering module includes new functionality that enables managers to calculate employee costs within a project or shift budget. New features in the Schools module, which is an increasingly important market for Carval,  enable the configuration of pension returns, management of single central record outputs and workforce census details. The Carval Payroll Bureau solution also includes new automation features that allow a virtually unattended process flow.

John Ovington, Sales and Support Director at Carval said; “The CIPD HR Software Show is a well-established event that we welcome as an opportunity to meet with HR professionals making important purchasing decisions. We have designed the latest enhancements to our software to automate many routine HR and Payroll processes, while providing greater flexibility and visibility. Our sights are always on providing HR software that’s flexible, future-proof and supports the HR team with all aspects of workforce management.”

The new multi-tier authorisation feature within the Self-Service module provides more flexible control of who is in the authorisation chain. Line managers can be empowered to take decisions about their team, including swapping shifts and salary modelling, with senior managers able to review and approve any changes as required.

Within the Rostering module, managers are now able to manage employee costs within a set project or shift budget.  This is particularly useful for arranging cover during holidays or busy periods.  Managers can estimate employee costs, including pensions and National Insurance, for permanent employees at different salary levels, as well as any amounts for additional temporary staff required, giving an accurate view of budget spend.

Carval’s payroll expertise also supports third party payroll service providers with its enhanced Payroll Bureau offering. Time consuming tasks such as salary calculations, BACS reports and HMRC payments can now be almost fully automated to allow a virtually unattended process flow. This flexibility will support growing businesses and enables payroll teams to easily accommodate changes as payroll numbers increase.
