Technology experts are heading back to the classroom to demonstrate leading edge support software to students

Chessington, Surrey, 4 March 2015. Service Management software company, Sunrise Software, has been invited to demonstrate its Service Desk software to students at one of London’s top performing colleges.

The students, aged 16 to 18, are all studying for an OCR Level 2 IT Diploma at Richmond Upon Thames College. As well as a lesson on the latest helpdesk technology, the students will also be given the opportunity to network with potential employers.

Geoff Rees, Business Services Director at Sunrise Software, said: “This is a welcome opportunity for Sunrise to support local education and to build links with students who are looking for a career in service management.”

Sunrise ITSM software embraces the latest browser technologies, making it easy and intuitive to use. With the introduction of gamification the students will be shown how software can be used to engage, motivate and reward Service Desk staff. They will also learn how customers interact with the software and how service levels and targets can be set for customers and suppliers.

Judy May, Head of IT at Richmond College, said: “I am delighted that Sunrise has agreed to demonstrate their software to our students. By exposing students to state of the art business applications they will have a greater awareness and understanding of the technologies available when they go into the workplace.”
