Award recognizes application and excellence in risk management in the rail industry in Australia and New Zealand

Maidenhead, UK. 10 July, 2015 – Downer, a client of Sword Active Risk, has been voted winner of the Safety Award at the Australasian Rail Industry Awards 2015, held on Thursday 9th July 2015, at a Black Tie Gala Dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel, Sydney. The Safety Award recognises world class safety strategies and technologies used by organisations in the rail industry in Australia and New Zealand. Downer won the award for its approach to safety and use of Sword Active Risk Manager for its Rail business. The event, sponsored by Laing O’Rourke, was an opportunity for industry colleagues to celebrate achievements across key fields including engineering; sustainability; safety and innovation, and was hosted by TrackSAFE Patron and Former Deputy Prime Minister, Tim Fischer AC.
